Lowman is perched in Idaho's Sawtooth Mountain range on the banks of the South Fork of the Payette River. This small community on Highway 21, 80 miles from Boise is settled in geothermal heaven. Natural hot springs surface right in town and many other places in the surrounding mountains.
The surrounding Boise National Forest and nearby Sawtooth Wilderness offers countless recreational opportunities. Lowman is also along the Wildlife Canyon Scenic Byway. Deer and elk thrive in this area, so it is great place to view them but keep an eye out on the highways.
