The Sun Valley Inn is the sister property of the Sun Valley Lodge and shares all of the amenities of the Lodge. The Sun Valley Inn is decorated in the same elegant style as the Lodge. You can easily walk between the two properties across the resort's courtyard.

Sun Valley's second Christmas season was celebrated by the opening of the Challenger Inn in 1937. Renamed the Sun Valley Inn in the early seventies, Sun Valley's second hotel was inspired by the movie set for Paramount's "I Met Him In Paris," filmed near the resort in 1937.

Today, the hotel provides 109 rooms and the resort's new state of the art Convention Center. Guest rooms are newly remodeled with elaborate and gracious decor appointed with the very finest European fabrics, carpeting and ornate wall coverings. Rooms at the Inn, while identical in style to the Lodge, tend to be a bit larger due to its later construction. Dining opportunities at the Inn include the historic Ram restaurant, the new Lobby Lounge serving light fare and cocktails and the family friendly Bald Mountain Pizza and Pasta. Amenities at the Inn include an exercise room, and the outdoor glass-enclosed heated swimming pool. Guests of the Inn and Lodge are able to access amenities including the pools at either location. There is also an Olympic size outdoor pool for use during the summer months.

Meeting Needs:

The remodeled 12,000- square foot Sun Valley Inn convention Center, which includes the 8,470 square foot Limelight Ballroom, combines state-of-the-art technology with an interior decor that exudes the charm of a Viennese or French palace. The Inn has added fiber optic cabling along with wireless Ethernet. In a nutshell, the technology and the 135,000 feet of wire accompanying it offer Power Point presenters or salesman who use the Internet in presentations all the high-tech gadgetry they could possibly ask for.
