The Trail of the Coeur d'Alenes bike path follows the Union Pacific Railroad's right-of-way from Mullan, Idaho, a mountain mining town near the Montana border, to Plummer, Idaho, a town on the prairie near the Washington border. More than 72 miles of paved path takes you from high mountain splendor, through the historic Silver Valley, into the chain lakes region, along the shore of Lake Coeur d'Alene, over a bridge to Heyburn State Park and on to the prairie beyond - an adventure for the entire family.

It is suggested you bring plenty of drinking water, helmets, rain gear, trail map, camera/film, daypack, first-aid kit, high energy food, sunglasses and a repair kit/tools/tube. Information for numerous other "power" rides is available by contacting Friends of the Coeur d'Alene Trails at 208-752-4721.
Location information:

General Location: Over 72 miles of paved path spanning from Mullan to Plummer.

"My husband and I rode from Kellogg to Mullin one day, Kellogg to Bull Run on day, and he rode from Kellogg to Plummer and I picked him up at Harrison (about 70 miles) Riding the trail was the primary reason for our trip. We also played golf at Shoshone Golf course twice and loved the course."
