For years, Indian Nations from all over gathered in the Council Valley to hold trival councils, hence the name given by the first settlers - Council. Today, Council Valley has some of the best hunting and fishing found anywhere - with 100's of square miles of beautiful backcountry, racing rivers, and meandering streams. Not to mention hidden mountain lakes perfect for fly fishing.
