In the winter, Brundage Mountain Resort is the largest attraction offering unbeatable glade skiing. Two events are really associated with McCall for people that are familiar with the town. A huge Idaho tradition is to head up to McCall for the 4Th of July fireworks over the lake. During this celebration thousands of visitors, many from Boise escaping the heat, trek to McCall for a truly spectacular view over Payette Lake. In the winter, McCall's Winter Carnival has been named one of North America's top 100 events. Highlighted by extraordinary snow sculptures, parades, music, and food venues. Originally created for the local McCall people to beat the winter blues, this event is now attended by visitors from all over.

If you are coming to ski there currently is not lodging right on the mountain. Most people stay in McCall or New Meadows which are 8-10 miles away. Ski and Stay packages are available for both.
