The Payette Lakes Ski Club Lodge at Little Ski Hill is located three miles northwest of McCall. This community-supported ski area offers something for everyone, with over 50 km of groomed skating lanes, touring trails and 405 vertical feet of alpine terrain!

Clinics and races on the local, divisional and national levels are hosted by the Payette Lakes Ski Club, McCall Nordic Ski Team and McCall Ski Racing Team. This was the second ski area developed in Idaho, preceded only by Sun Valley. Since 1937, when the main use was Nordic jumping, the Payette Lakes Ski Club has maintained a non-profit-organization status, run by volunteers whose goal has been the development of skiing as a lifetime sport for all ages. The Payette Lakes Ski Club is operated under a permit in the Payette National Forest. The Nordic trails are operated under agreement with Boise Cascade, Club Hill Partners and Twin Pines River Ranch.

Built in 1937 as a winter diversion for local forest workers, the Little Ski Hill has served the region's youth and skiing community for over 60 years. This small but action-packed facility has an alpine hill served by a T-bar, 40 kilometers of groomed cross-country ski trails, a biathlon range, ski jumps and is the only lighted ski and snowboard hill in the area.
