McCall sits in the heart of Central Idaho's Blue Ribbon trout fishing. Five major river systems and over 300 lakes provide the perfect habitat for some of the best trout fishing found anywhere. Rainbow and Native Cutthroat trout are the premier species in the McCall Area. Brook Trout, Lake Trout, Small mouth Bass, Brown Trout and grayling are also present. The spectacular streams and small rivers of the Payette, Salmon, and Weiser River systems originate from the high country surrounding McCall and offer unlimited possibilities for river fishing. McCall is also surrounded by hundreds of pristine alpine lakes and fly fishing for trophy rainbows and cutthroats is found at the end of many of our best hiking trails.
