Zoo Boise is open daily from 10:00 am to 5:00, September - May and June - August, open from 9:00 am until 5:00 pm.(last admission is at 4:30pm).
Closed on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Year's Day.
About Zoo Boise
Keep Your World Wild at Zoo Boise! "Paws a minute" and learn more about the fascinating and exciting world of wildlife! Enjoy a look at exotic as well as Idaho native species. Located in beautiful Julia Davis Park, in the heart of Downtown Boise, Zoo Boise is one of the most popular attractions in Southern Idaho as well as a living science facility that is home to over 201 animals from 83 various species.
Zoo Boise proudly announces the birth of a red panda, have two red panda cubs at Zoo Boise. The cubs, both female, were born on June 6 to parents, Dolly and Winston. They are the fourth litter of red pandas born at Zoo Boise.
Also new this Spring at Zoo Boise is a wallaby baby! The joey has recently made its appearance in the zoo’s Wallaby Walkabout exhibit. The joey was born to parents Kaiya and Bondi and has been named Bobber. The gender of Bobber is currently unknown until its first veterinary exam.
One of Zoo Boise’s most popular exhibits ever returns this weekend! Butterflies in Bloom will open on Sunday, June 1 and stay at Zoo Boise through Labor Day. Visitors will stroll through a flower filled greenhouse as hundreds of colorful butterflies from Costa Rica fly above and around them.
Explore the wonders of wildlife all year at Zoo Boise. Located in beautiful Julia Davis Park. Zoo Boise is home to over 200 animals from 80 various species. From the tiny walking stick to the majestic Amur tigers, the zoo offers a unique educational and recreational experience for visitors of all ages.
