About Sun Valley Lodge
America's first destination resort and one of Idaho's 5-Star resorts, the Sun Valley Lodge and Inn has something magnificent to offer each season of the year! If you are looking for an iconic and special place to stay for your next visit to Sun Valley, this is the place. Built in 1936, the historical Sun Valley Lodge's elegance from another time lives on. Recently redecorated, Averell Harriman's interpretation of "roughing it in luxury" remains steadfast. Enjoy upscale accommodations and fine dining in a majestic four-story hotel while your camera captures the beautiful and breathtaking view of the surrounding mountain range. Each of the Lodge's 148 rooms were extensively remodeled with new furniture, French country interiors, marble appointed bathrooms and flat screen televisions. Other services and amenities offered in the Lodge include: The Lodge Dining Room, Gretchen's, the Duchin Lounge and Bar, Sun Valley Salon & Day Spa, massage center, sauna and heated outdoor swimming pool, workout facility, bowling alley, game room, room service and gift shop. The Sun Valley Resort is located about a mile and a half from the River Run Ski Lodge on Bald Mountain. Make use of the Lodge Concierge when looking for recommendations on where to eat or other activities around the area - they can help make reservations for you! The Sun Valley outdoor Ice Rink is located just adjacent to the Lodge with ice skating year round! In addition, there is an indoor rink where you can catch an exciting Sun Valley Sun's hockey game during their season. The Sun Valley Pavillion is also close by and plays host to a variety of concerts and activities during the summer months sure to please anyone. Resort Fee covers: airport shuttles, high-speed internet access in all rooms and condominiums (wired and or WiFi), local phone calls, parking (self & valet), swimming pools, fitness centers, newspapers (Hotels, Lodge Apartments & Cottages), and overnight ski storage at River Run and Warm Springs (Winter Season). The Resort will be undertaking a major renovation starting in April of 2014. The Lodge building will be closed between September 1 and June 15, 2015 in order to renovate the interior of the Lodge and its rooms. The goal is to keep the wonderful feeling of the Lodge while at the same time providing the modern comforts and conveniences that our guests expect, fitting the Lodge for the next 75 years of fun in the sun!

General Policies
Cancellation: A one-night deposit is taken at the time of booking. The remaining balance of your room rate, taxes and fees will be charged to the credit card on file 7 days prior to your arrival. Please note that deposits are non-transferrable to a future date. Cancellation Policy We understand that plans may change, and we kindly ask that you adhere to our cancellation policy to avoid any inconvenience. If your reservation is cancelled at least 7 days before your arrival date, the deposit is fully refundable. If your reservation is cancelled within 7 days of your arrival date, all nights are non-refundable and will be charged to the credit card on file. For Reservations between December 24th and December 31st, all reservations have a 60-day cancellation policy. All reservations cancelled or shortened within 60 days of arrival will be charged the full amount of the stay. (May Vary with Packages)
