Season: Memorial Day Weekend to Mid-September. Open 10-6pm Daily.
Rent a canoe or kayak and experience the wild scenic Upper North Fork of the Payette River. This gentle tributary is a designated "no wake zone" that features wildlife and a wilderness experience. Backwoods Adventures also offers guided tours with naturalists, kayak lessons, and a kids "learn to kayak" program. Open May - September, daily from 10 am to 6 pm. Special arrangements may be possible for rentals outside of regular business hour.

Backwoods Adventures now has two locations in McCall. At the North End of Payette Lake guests can rent canoes, kayaks and stand-up paddle boards. Now at the South End of Payette Lake in Ponderosa State Park, guests can rent stand-up paddle boards and Hobbie Cat Push Peddle Boats.

General Location: North Beach Boat Ramp on Payette Lake
Directions: North End of Lake: North Beach Boat Ramp, from Highway 55 North through McCall (at Lardo's) turn right on Warren Wagon Rd. Approximately 8 miles to the North Beach Boat Ramp. South End of Lake: Take Hwy 55 North thru McCall. Turn right at Railroad Ave. Turn left at David Street. Go approximately 1.3 miles to Ponderosa State Park. The office is located in front of the Visitors Center in the Park.
We do not have any current pre-built packages for Backwoods Adventures .
