Zoo Boise proudly announces the birth of a red panda, Syringa, the first ever born at the zoo. Syringa was born on July 3, 2008. In addition, on December 11, 2008 a 2-year-old female Grevy's zebra arrived from the Franklin Park Zoo in Boston. The Grevy's zebra has been given the name of Hope.

Explore the wonders of wildlife all year at Zoo Boise. Located in beautiful Julia Davis Park. Zoo Boise is home to over 200 animals from 80 various species. Fmo the tiny walking stck to the majestic Amur tiges, the zoo offers a unique educational and recreational experience for visitors of all ages.

Zoo Boise is open daily from 10:00 am to 5:00 (last admission is at 4:30pm) Summer hours: 9:00am to 5:00pm beginning June 1 and running through Labor Day. Closed on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Year's Day.
