Open Mid-May through mid-October - 3 night minimum
In simple terms, the serenity and simplicity of our intimate, unique lodge offers a fine balance between the rustic and luxurious.Henry's Fork Lodge was designed by award-winning architect Joseph Esherick. Mountain buildings were one of his specialties, and because he was also an avid flyfisherman, he built in all the special features that anglers require.

As a result, Henry's Fork Lodge has been nominated for national architecture awards for its distinctive combination of elegance and comfort. We have six units in the main lodge, including two deluxe suites with fireplace and big views of the Henry's Fork, one with separate bedroom and living room. Our eight cottage suites all have separate bedrooms and sitting rooms with fireplaces. The Lodge's decor is highly distinctive featuring wood paneling, antique furniture and oriental carpets.

In response to the requests we've received from our guests, our lodge is now more "connected." There are now phones in all of our rooms and we offer high-speed Internet access throughout the lodge. The accommodation at the Henry's Fork Lodge follows a simple formula: great beds, windows with a magnificent view, deep reading chairs, warm fireplaces and elegant, rustic food.

Upon your return from a day of fishing or outdoor activity, you will find a selection of tasty hors d'oeuvres along with a superb array of fine wine and cold beer set out on the bar of the River Room. The long, open porch overlooking the river lined with oversized rocking chairs is an invitation to relax: the perfect way to unwind and share your fishing stories after an exciting day on the river. Afterwards, we invite you to enjoy a meal in our dining room, where our chef creates what might be the best food you've ever eaten - especially with your appetite bolstered by a wonderful day outdoors.

World class fly fishing is the lifeblood of the Henry's Fork. The lodge is perfectly situated amidst an abundance of rivers, streams, and lakes - all teaming with trout - making it an alluring spot for fisherman with all levels of experience. In addition to fishing, guests may hike, canoe, mountain bike or simply relax with a favorite book on the long river view porch to savor the singular beauty and wildness of the area.Activities at the Lodge are overseen by an exceptionally friendly, enthusiastic, and well-informed staff. Our hospitality and service is warm and welcoming.

WEATHER:
May and June weather is usually pleasant, but can be cool and wet, especially in May and early June. From July through the first or second week of September daytime temperatures are usually in the high 70's to low 80's and temperatures after sundown are usually in the high 40's or low 50's. Late afternoon thundershowers are common, but usually last only an hour or two and don't disrupt the fishing after they've passed over. About the second week of September we have the beginning of fall weather with temperatures decreasing by about 10 degrees both during the day and at night. October finds the weather cooling even more, with frost on the ground in the mornings, but we can also have several weeks of Indian summer with temperatures back up in the mid 70's. Snow is a possibility anytime after mid September, but rarely stays on the ground or interrupts fishing by more than a day. The mountain air is very dry throughout the season.

CLOTHING:
Dress at the Lodge and throughout the area is casual, so comfort is the prime consideration. The best approach is to be prepared for a wide variety of conditions, both because of the wide temperature swings from daytime to nighttime and because the weather can change very quickly. Layering sweaters and jackets over lighter shirts will give you great flexibility and keep you comfortable under any weather conditions. The sun is quite intense, especially when reflected off the water, so many people prefer long sleeved shirts for protection from the sun. A warm jacket or parka is essential throughout the season as is a good rain jacket for protection from both rain and wind. During early June and after the middle of September, long underwear bottoms are advisable and can be useful throughout the season for wading in cold water. Light or medium weight polypropylene or similar synthetics work best.

The following is a suggested list of outdoor clothing:
Light to medium weight shirts and pants
Warm jacket or parka
Sweater
Rain jacket
Hat with brim or visor (essential for anglers)
Comfortable walking shoes
Over-socks to wear inside waders
Sunglasses (polarized best for anglers)
