"I had booked a day of heli-skiing for my husband's 35 birthday, it was a surprise for him. The staff at SV heli-ski helped me organize everything, was more than nice and helpfull, and I called quite a few times... One of the person I talked to even offered for my husband to borrow his snowboard if we couldn't rent something good enough in Sun Valley or Ketchum.
My husband was then very impressed by their profesionalism. There is a ratio of 4 guest for 1 guide in the helicoptere, so you get a lot of attention. Plus he said they were very strict on security so he felt safe all the time. He had the best time and cannot imagine there is another way of skiing than heli-skiing now !
It's an expensive treat, but it's worth all the money. I rank it a 5 out 5."

Bald Mountain lies in the heart of some of the best, most exciting skiing and snowboarding terrain in the world. For over thirty years, small groups have explored this winter paradise by helicopter. Bring your enthusiasm, and Sun Valley Heli-Ski guides, with over 100 years of combined experience, will match your desire and ability to the perfect slope and snow. They offer half-day, full-day and weekly packages, one-lift tours and backcountry yurt trips, and discounts for groups and families.
Typical Day: We meet at our office (typically 7:30 or 8 am), have a continental breakfast, tea/coffee and head out in our "Rotorhome" shuttle bus to meet the helicopter. Before heading out into the backcountry, you will be briefed on safety and emergency procedures, including the use of an Orotovox avalanche beacon. The helicopter is stocked with snacks and drinks to keep you shredding through the day. After our epic day of skiing, we have lunch at the staging area and then head back into town, arriving back at the office usually between 3 and 4 pm.
Each helicopter will hold 1 guide and 4 guests. They typically take 3 to 4 groups out per day. Travel insurance is strongly recommended and can be purchased on any InIdaho.com web page.

 Cancellation Policy: 50% deposit due at time of reservation, balance due 90 days prior to arrival. Cancellations made more than 6 months prior to ski date receive full refund less $350 fee per seat. Cancellations made less than 90 days prior to ski date all monies on account are non-refundable. Prices do not include Idaho sales tax and are subject to change without notice.
