Wendell is a rural town in southcentral Idaho, between Mountain Home and Twin Falls just of Interstate I-84 (Gooding County). In the 1950's, Wendell was a boom town with its own unique culture and businesses. It officially became a town on October 12, 1909. Wendell started out as a planned community created by WS Kuhn, the owner of the Twin Falls North Side Land and Water Co. The town was names for one of his sons. The city of Jerome was names for another one of his sons. Wendell is home to Niagra Springs State Park and hosts Magic Valley Dairy Days in June. As of the 2010 census, the population of Wendell was approx 2,782 residents.
