General Information about our company:

Information you give us:
InIdaho will store any information that you enter on our website.  We use the information you enter to fulfill requests, make reservations, simplify future requests and orders for you, customize your InIdaho experience, make navigation easier and to communicate with you in the future.

Potato Technology (Automatic Information):
In Idaho, we prefer potatoes over cookies!

InIdaho uses our own "Potato Technology" to gather automatic information.  Our potatoes remember automatic information about your visit.  The information collected is:

• Companies you visited
• Searches you made
• How you came into InIdaho
• Other, non-personal information

Potatoes are stored in our database but do not contain any personal information.  They are used purely to help you navigate our site better.  We'll give you an example...Suppose you search for condos in Sun Valley and want to see only the ones that sleep 6 people and are located in the Ketchum area.  There are lots of results for this query, but as you browse around, chat live, or send email requests there is always a link that will take you right back to the list you originally started with.  You see, our potatoes are helping to make navigation and your overall experience at InIdaho a delight - just like an Idaho potato!

Have you ever found a place you liked, but kept searching around and then couldn't find it later?  Not with the help of potatoes!  From the search page on InIdaho you can click on a link titled "where have I been."  This will pull up a list of the companies you visited while InIdaho.

Information collected includes your IP Address, where you visited on our site, and searches that you made.  There are programs and services which you can purchase from companies that will 'block" many of these automatic entries.  This will, however, significantly reduce your experience at InIdaho.  The automatic information we collect is used to help you.  An example would be filling out a request form.  Once you login once, you do not need to again while visiting InIdaho if you have not blocked these features.

For each visitor to our Web page, our Web server automatically recognizes only the consumer's domain name, but not the e-mail address.

Cookies:
InIdaho uses "cookies" very sparingly.  Whenever you make a request to InIdaho we will attempt to place a cookie which keeps your Customer ID handy for your next visit.  By accepting this cookie, your experience will be dramatically improved on InIdaho.com.  If you would like to learn more about the "cookies"  search for them on your favorite search engine.

Email, Personal Information and how we contact you:
We collect the e-mail addresses of those who communicate with us via e-mail, aggregate information on what pages consumers access or visit, user-specific information on what pages consumers access or visit, information volunteered by the consumer, such as survey information and/or site registrations.

By providing InIdaho.com with your email address you may receive other communications from us other than your confirmation emails, etc.  These emails which include travel specials, important travel information and other topics related to travel.  You can choose not to receive these emails by clicking "unsubscribe" on the email or by letting one of our staff know at InIdaho.com.  If you opt-out of our mailing list you can rejoin on InIdaho.com in the future. 

We use your mailing address to send items such as confirmation letters, correspondence about your trip, and occasionally special offers directly from InIdaho.com.  If you do not wish to receive the offers you may call us. 

Persons who supply us with their telephone numbers will only receive telephone contact from us with information regarding orders or requests they have placed on-line or via the phone.  We do not sell or rent our customers phone number information.

Ad-Servers
InIdaho does not currently allow outside advertising or, more importantly, ad-servers (outside banner ads).  These ad-servers track your viewing habits constantly.  We have done our small part by not featuring them.

Security:
With respect to security: InIdaho uses industry-standard encryption technologies including SSL when transferring and receiving sensitive consumer data exchanged with our site.

Your credit card information is stored on the web only temporarily.  As an added security precaution, your credit card information is deleted from our web server as soon as we retrieve your order.
