The River Dance Lodge, is located on the banks of the Middle Fork of the Clearwater, one of the original six rivers designated "Wild and Scenic" by Congress in 1968. Surrounded by National Forest lands, this Rocky Mountain resort is adjacent to the 1.1 million-acre Selway-Bitterroot Wilderness Area, one of the largest in the nation. It is also close to the Lewis and Clark trail and an ideal location from which to explore the Lolo Trail and Lewis and Clark history. This pristine and unique location allows you to stay at a family resort, fishing lodge, summer camp, mountain resort and wilderness lodge, all wrapped up in one.

The two 3-bedroom hand-crafted log cabin duplex, new in 2005, are uniquely themed and decorated with character-filled furnishings and local artwork. They have a comfortable living room with dining table and chairs, a gas fireplace and sitting area. The small kitchen area has a microwave, coffemaker, dishes and under-counter refrigerator. Each is stocked with tea, coffee, cocoa, sugar, creamer, salt and pepper. Outside each cabin is a charcoal grill and private hot tub.

Each 3 bedroom has 2 main floor bedrooms with queens in each plus a futon in the living room and a full bath, then a loft with a queen and a trundle with 2 twins and there's a full bath upstairs as well. Each cabin sleeps 6 - 10 though 8 is recommended. The whole cabin is available for large groups or 2 families and will sleep up to a maximum of 20.

In addition to the fresh, new lodging accommodations, River Dance Lodge offers a wide array of recreational activities, including whitewater rafting, canoeing, kayaking, hiking, swimming, fly-fishing and horseback riding.

Casual dining is available down the path at the Syringa Café where you'll find homemade huckleberry pies, a variety of traditional food, healthy salads, a delicious selection of wine, microbrews and friendly, hospitable staff. Next to the cozy fireplace you'll find the Lodge library and game collection.
