Tamarack Zip Line, Fun Fun Fun!!!
Friday, September 07, 2007, Donnelly
Looking for a wild ride to sanction your summer with? Look no further than the Zip Line at Tamarack Resort. Our family of four spent 4 ½ glorious hours there over Labor Day and we were amazed. In spite of fires raging just a few miles away, the staff was calm and accommodating, professional yet playful. We took the chairlift to the top and began a series of 6 great rides. Equipment checks were continuous throughout the morning and full instructions were given at each stop; consequently we always felt safe. Safe but not sedate. The zip lines ranged in length starting with a short line or two to longer, higher, faster. We even landed in a Treehouse 105 feet off the ground (Yes, we’re talking tops of trees as our closest neighbors!) Leaving The Treehouse meant stepping off a platform onto NOTHING and zipping several hundred feet across a deep ravine. Exhilerating, challenging, inspiring, just begin to describe the experience awaiting you. This is a great trip for families, groups of friends, co-workers. We found that our group of four traveled through the course well together. More than four you’d end up waiting longer at each zip line. I challenge you to do the whole course without screaming your brains out. But don’t forget to check out the glorious scenery while you’re up there.
